We seek to ensure that Montgomery County and the State of Maryland are represented by appointed and elected officials who are reflective of and responsive to the needs of all individuals, specifically communities of color.
LEADERSHIP

EXCELLENCE
When our citizens are more educated and feel empowered about who they choose to represent their communities, we can see significant and positive change for those who need it most.
WHAT WE DO
We support and promote the empowerment and participation of African Americans and members of other underrepresented communities of color in the political process. We seek to do this by advocating for four specific priorities, raising funds, and making contributions to support electing officials and candidates for state and local office in Montgomery County and Maryland. Our priorities are in the following areas:
POLITICAL ACTION
To educate and raise the level of civic engagement, particularly among communities of color, about the candidates who support the platform/areas of interest to CERG 2.0 PAC.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
To expand the capacity, particularly of people of color, through individual and community business and asset building; diversity and inclusion in business development and career advancement; and procurement opportunities.
EDUCATION
To ensure that every student, particularly students of color, receives a quality education that leads to graduating high school ready for college and/or a career.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM
To advocate for results-based criminal justice policies that keep our community safe and end racial disparities at all levels of the criminal justice system.
