Driving Economic Empowerment and Inclusive Prosperity in Montgomery County.

CERG PAC 2.0 works to drive inclusive economic growth in Montgomery County, Maryland, by backing policies and candidates that deliver real results: expanded access to capital, increased homeownership, and stronger pathways to quality jobs. Our work is grounded in a firm commitment to strengthening Black communities and advancing Black‑owned businesses.
Success, for us, is tangible. More Black entrepreneurs scaling their businesses, more families building lasting wealth, and more residents accessing stable, well‑paying jobs that support long‑term prosperity.

The Three Pillars

Housing

Affordable housing is the foundation of wealth and stability. We advocate for policies that give Black families and working families real access to homeownership and quality rental housing in Montgomery County.

Business Ownership & Entrepreneurship

Black-owned businesses fuel community wealth and economic vitality. CERG PAC 2.0 supports candidates who strengthen a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem that equips Black business owners with networks, capital, and mentorship to scale and drive Montgomery County’s resurgence.

Jobs & Workforce Development

Good jobs shape strong futures. We support candidates who drive job creation, expand workforce training, and connect Black workers in Montgomery County to quality employment and broader regional opportunities.

Why These Three Pillars?

CERG PAC 2.0 recognizes the broad challenges facing Black residents, yet focuses its advocacy on three pillars—Housing, Jobs, and Business Ownership—where targeted action drives the greatest economic impact. Where we are not the primary voice, we support and partner with the organizations that are. Our focused approach is not a limitation, but the foundation of our effectiveness — and genuine effectiveness, grounded in principled commitment to our core pillars, is what our community deserves.

Mission Spotlight

CERG PAC was founded on the belief that political representation matters—that our voices must be present and powerful at every decision-making table. As we evolved, we recognized that representation alone, while essential, is not enough. Our community also needs a focused economic strategy that delivers tangible results.

CERG 2.0 reflects that evolution: a Political Action Committee dedicated to advancing the economic outcomes our community deserves — homeownership, quality employment, and a thriving ecosystem of Black-owned businesses. These pillars are the building blocks of generational wealth, and they make everything else possible.

When our community achieves economic security, we gain the capacity to strengthen civic organizations, faith communities, and cultural institutions that have always defined us. At CERG PAC 2.0, economic success is not a departure from our values — it is the foundation that sustains and amplifies them.
