Our Values

REPRESENTATION

We seek to ensure that Montgomery County and the State of Maryland are represented by appointed and elected officials who are reflective of and responsive to the needs of all individuals, specifically communities of color.

LEADERSHIP

EXCELLENCE

When our citizens are more educated and feel empowered about who they choose to represent their communities, we can see significant and positive change for those who need it most.

WHAT WE DO

We are a political action committee (PAC) that supports and promotes the empowerment and participation of African Americans and members of other underrepresented communities of color in the political process. We seek to do this by advocating for specific priorities, raising funds, and making contributions to support electing candidates for state and local offices in Montgomery County and Maryland. Our priorities include fostering a culture of active political engagement, economic empowerment, and social justice.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

To expand the capacity, particularly of people of color, through individual and community business and asset building; diversity and inclusion in business development and career advancement; and procurement opportunities.

POLITICAL ENGAGEMENT

To educate and raise the level of civic engagement, particularly among communities of color, about the candidates who support issues that impact their lives.

SOCIAL JUSTICE

To advocate for results-based justice policies that keep our community safe and end racial disparities at all levels
