Jobs & Workforce Development
A quality job represents far more than a paycheck — it is a foundation for dignity, stability, and the ability to build a meaningful future. For Black workers in Montgomery County, too many quality employment opportunities remain out of reach — not because of any shortage of talent or drive, but because the pathways to meaningful careers have not been equally accessible, and existing workforce development programs have not consistently served our community’s needs. CERG PAC 2.0 is committed to championing policies that connect Black workers to genuine opportunity.
That means supporting job creation initiatives that prioritize quality over quantity, workforce training programs aligned with the skills that employers in our county truly need, and inclusive hiring practices that remove longstanding barriers for historically underserved communities. We evaluate candidates on their demonstrated commitment to job creation and workforce investment — asking the essential question: is the economic growth taking place in Montgomery County reaching our community in meaningful, measurable ways?
