CERG 2.0 Endorses Shebra Evans for Montgomery County Board of Education President

CERG 2.0 is pleased to endorse Montgomery County Board of Education President Shebra Evans for another four-year term because of her vision for a better and more high-quality Montgomery County public school system which seeks continuous improvement to reach students regardless of socioeconomic status.

Mrs. Evans has worked as a financial analyst in the cable and energy industry since 1996. She received a degree in economics and finance from Tennessee State University. She has two children who attend MCPS. Mrs. Evans holds the District 4 seat on the board.

“I am running for re-election to the Board of Education because I am proud of the work

we are doing to address disparities in student outcomes by closing gaps in opportunity

and achievement,” Evans wrote in a statement in January 2020. “We continue to make

progress, but there is still work to do. I believe my experience coupled with my leadership

will be an asset as we advocate for resources to ensure the success for all students.”
