IMPORTANT: If you or someone you know still need to register to vote, Maryland now allow registering and voting on the same day during the early voting, which will occur June 14-21
Maryland now allows registering and voting on the same day during the June 14-21 early voting period at any early voting location in the county in which you live. You will be given a provisional ballot, which will be counted when your registration is certified. For same day registration, you will need to bring a document that proves where you live. This document can be any of the following: MVA-issued license, ID card, a change of address card, your paycheck, bank statement, utility bill, or other government document with your name and address.
However, you cannot switch party affiliation during same day registration.
Same day registration is only possible during early voting this year. On the ballot in November, voters will decide whether to allow residents to register and vote at their polling places on the actual Election Day in the future.
